This week's Questions: Who's your all-time favorite book villain?
My Answer: Hmmm, well...I have a few.
#1-Voldemort from The Harry Potter series by JK Rowling
His character was so complex and really well crafted. JK Rowling wrote him as a relatable character, in other words, I felt I could understand why he did what he did. But all the same, I still thought he was evil. There were times when I was reading the books where I had to stop reading and calm down because I was so angry with what he and the death eaters were doing.
#2-William from Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follet
Goodness! Just thinking about William makes me angry. *takes a few deep breaths* William is just plain evil. I hated him-pure hatred. He did such terrible terrible-unjustified things in the book. There were times when I was cursing at the book (William), yelling phrases like "I can't believe you!" or "You sick SOB" I think at the start of every chapter I was hoping he'd die. Why do I hate him so? Let me tell you: he raped and murdered people-like hundreds and hundreds. He did it all because the girl he wanted to marry (who he raped in front of her brother AND was responsible for her losing everything she owned as well as her father) didn't want him-(gasp)shocker. So he's out to make her life a living hell. As well as kill people-he likes doing that. The irony of it all is that he is petrified of going to hell.
#3-The Lessers in the Black Dagger Brotherhood series
I really really really hate these guys. They scare me. They are horrible. And they are psychopaths! Reading their parts in the books are hard for me because of how terrible they are.

Wow. How did Voldemort not even cross my mind? Lol. He's definitely on my list of favorite villains!
Haven't read Pillars of the Earth, but I've heard a lot about it.
Hope you have a great weekend!
Seems everyone is saying Voldemort. He is a good one.
Love your blog! New follower.
Great picks! Haven't read the Black Dagger Brotherhood series yet, or Pillars of the Earth, but I definitely know who Voldy is. :D I picked Snape as mine.
Coming through on the blog hop. Enjoying the blogs.
Hi, hon - happy to be a new follower! Inspired choice with William - that was such a great book, and he was very easy to hate. I went with Randall Flagg from Stephen King's overlapping universes of horror for my villain. Gotta love the man in black . . .

Hopping over to see your answer. I was stumped for a while on this one, but the hop has inspired me as always LOL Stop by my blog to see my pick ;) http://blog.juliealindsey.com/
Thanks for hopping by my blog and following me. I'm a new follower of yours as well.
I am somewhat ashamed to say this, but I haven't read any Harry Potter books (shame on me) or seen any of the movies. Haven't read Pillars of the Earth either, but I've picked it up several times, just never actually bought it, lol. It's on my TBR list though :)
Happy Reading!

Oh Voldemort! Completely forgot about him. Shame on me. But if I'm thinking of a fav HP villain its going to have to be Bellatrix Lestrange baby ;). Evil, a bit crazy 9a lot crazy) and cruel, cruel, cruel. Barth Crouch Jr. was also pretty awesome, its a pity we only got him for one book cause he was brilliant...well for a villain xD.
Good choice with Voldemort! Didn't even think about him. Although I didn't like him all that much. You should definitely try to read it soon. Her writing in the first Kushiel trilogy is lyrical, she's one of my favorite authors. I reread all three at least once a year.
Thanks for hopping by! I hope you have a great weekend!
Thanks for stopping by!
I almost went with a Harry Potter villain too (J.K. Rowling is such an amazing writer) - but I would have chosen Dolores Umbridge. She's awful! My skin literally turns hot whenever she shows up >.< haha
Would you believe I've never read any of the Harry Potter books?
Thanks for the follow, I'm following back.
Ohhhh the Lessers!!! They made me have an aversion to baby powder!
good choice, come and see mine.
Everyone seems to pick Voldemort this week! Although I didn't.

Have a GREAT weekend!
I figured Voldemort would be a top contender this week. I've seen him and Valentine the most. I haven't encountered your second villain yet. I'll have to look him up.
My favorite book villain is, hands down, is the Napoleon of crime -
Professor James Moriarty.
It took me less than ten seconds to come up with my answer. But you'll
never guess why.

Yay for Voldemort!!! I haven't yet read the Pillars of the Earth, but I have always heard good things about it!
And yes, the Lessers from the BDB are uber creepy. Especially, the Omega. *shivers*

Great choices for villains! That was a difficult question, because there are so many perfectly evil villains to pick from. Have a great weekend!
