TGIF!!!! So with Friday comes The Book Blogger Hop. It's hosted over at Crazy-for-Books.
I love participating each week. I've discovered a ton of amazing blogs through the Hop. Happy Hopping :)
Question of the Week: What do you consider the most important in a story: the plot or the characters?
My Answer: Well, in every book I read, I want to care about the characters. If the book doesn't force me to feel something about any of the characters-hate, anger, love, etc.-then I will usually put the book down. The characters either make the story or ruin it.
Follow Friday is also a great way to find awesome blogs. It's hosted by Parajunkee's View. This week Parajunkee is featuring Carmel @ Rabid Reads .
This week's Question: What did you study in college, or are currently studying and did it lead to your current 9 to 5 or are you doing something totally different?
My Answer: Last year I majored in Musical Theater then changed over the summer to Communications with a concentration in Entertainment Studies. But I've found my calling in Advertising, SO I'm actually changing my concentration again to Advertising. At the moment I don't have a job....but that's going to change next year. My recent increase in spending (books and music) has taken a toll on my savings account. I have to either get a job, or stop buying books (Ha! like that's ever going to happen)-look likes it's "get a job!" haha What did you major in college? Thinking about majoring in? or currently majoring in?

Like you, I really want to care about the characters. They need to make me feel some sort of emotional response for me to really care about them!
Hope you have a great weekend!
HI old follower here, stopping by to say hope you have a Wonderful Holiday and I go with both.
My Follow Friday/Book Blogger Hop
101th follower here! And I love your answers, by the way! It was a hard decision for me too, but personally, I think that the story and plotline are equally as important as each other, so I agree.
Your blog is adorable, by the way, and I'm definitely following you for more reviews and awesome posts!
Happy reading,

Hi! Old follower here! Between stopping buying books or getting a job, it's always get a job. lol! My spending too hurts my savings. :D My major is in Psychology but it has nothing to do with my work now. Ha!

Advertising sounds fun. I majored in psychology, so I love how advertising connects to psych.
Hope you have a nice weekend!
I majored in Management Information Systems which falls under Business Administration (graduated this year) which I believe has led to my current 8:30 to 5 job because I am actually working with computers although I believe anyone could do this job since it seems to be a learn as you go type deal :P.
I also think my job is here solely to fuel my book buying habit since that is the reason I tolerate the cold office. That and I need to pay off my student loans xP
I agree with you about needing to care about the character in a book to make it work.
I majored in zoology and now work with computers ... yep they have nothing to do with each other ... but I'm brilliant with coming up with random facts.
Thanks for stopping by! We like a lot of the same books! I love your blog too! I'm still in the process of trying to figure out how to get a pic up at the top of my blog. Ugh! Have a great weekend!
Happy Friday!
Hope you have a great weekend!!

I totally agree with you on the characters part. Also, I hope your able to get a job soon! That way you can get books and not suffer in your pockets! (darn these good books!)
Thanks for stopping by!
Maybe you can get in on book swaps/trades so you can read books still without buying them to help with book expenses, lol. My hubby told me I'd have to get a job if I don't chill too, lol.
Old follower here - Happy FF Friday :) I've entered your contest and my fingers are crossed....and I feel your pain about books. I belong to paperbackswap.com and I get books for the price of postage. My husband doesn't complain about that. There's a link on my blog and if you sign up I think I get some free points :) Anyways....I'm with you on the character issue. Drop by my blog and read what I had to say. I can be found at Sugarbeat's Books
Hey! Old follower stopping by! I have to agree that it's hard to care about the plot of a novel if the characters aren't very great.
Happy Hop!
