TGIF!!!

Book Blogger Hop
Hi all!  In case  you didn't already have it circled a zillion times on your calendar-IT'S FRIDAY!! With Friday comes the Book Blogger Hop hosted by Crazy-for-Books.
This week's question:  What are you reading now and why are you reading it?
My Answer:  Right now I'm reading Avalon High by Meg Cabot and Sundays at Tiffany's by James Patterson.

I'm reading Sundays at Tiffany's because I saw the movie and loved it!  Then when I was going home for Christmas I saw it in the Hudson bookstore at the airport and had to buy it.  But its been sitting on my shelf for a while-with me reading a few pages every once in a while.  I decided yesterday that I would commit to reading the whole thing.  My friend lent me Avalon High and it too has been sitting on my shelf for about 2 weeks.  I'm putting off reading it because the movie on disney didn't look that great.  I didn't watch it but then again, I didn't really want to.  I think Meg Cabot is a fantastic author and so far everything I've read of hers has been amazing so hopefully this will be too.

I haven't read any of Meg Cabot's books yet. I really should. Thanks for reminding me it was Friday :) I am just doing a Hop post right now (my first in ages!).

You sound just as glad as me that it's Friday! If this week had one more day in I would not have made it! I have Avalon High on my To-Read list as well (for a challenge). I look forward to your review before I start reading it!

AVALON HIGH! I really enjoyed the novel and was actually liking the fact they were making a movie (even if it was a Disney one) out of it... BUT then I saw the trailer only just the other day and was like ... ah... I don't think I'll be watching...

Here's my hop and weekly round-up!

Hi from the Hop! I understand the film of Avalon High is very different from the book, but I haven't seen it so am only going on hearsay.

I'm reading two books: Middlemarch by George Eliot and Delirium by Lauren Oliver. I've been reading a few chapters of Middlemarch between lighter reads, and have nearly finished. I've been reading this for months now; it'll be weird when I reach the end.

Oh my face series by Meg Cabot/Jenny Carroll (at the time in the beginning) was the Mediator series! Was totally addicted to that one.

Here's my Hop and Follow Friday

Have a GREAT weekend!

Yeah I saw the Disney Movie this Monday and it wasn't that great, you're not missing anything in regards to the movie but as you said the book is most likely a lot better. Have a happy Friday ^_^.

I'm bloghopping today, seeing what people are currently reading, befriending new blogs. I'm reading a children's book from New Zealand called Under the Mountain that is on the 1001 Children's Books You Must Read list. Excellent.

And I am your newest follower! Hope you will stop by my blog and say hello!

Good answer! The answer on my book blog is a little embarassing; it’s a book that’s been sitting on my TBR pile for a year.

To my shame, I only opened the book because I remember it contained an Amazon gift card.

I haven't seen the Disney movie yet, but I've heard it's not that great. I did read the book though and I enjoyed it. I thought it was cute.

I am just hopping through. Is that Sunday at Tiffany's by James Patterson the same story as the movie?
I grabbed your badge and am following you.
See you next week!

Just my personal opinion, but unfortunately, I stopped reading James Patterson books since he never seems to write them solo anymore. He always has a co-writer in all his latest books! And I just can't help but wonder exactly how much he contributed, other than his name :(

Just makes me feel like the books came from some assembly line in the James Patterson factory... but if you're still enjoying him, good for you! :)

Here's my Book Blogger Hop: 2/4-2/7 post.

Oh, I didn't know they made an Avalon High movie! I thought the book was really cute and easy to read. Meg Cabot books are always so fun. Have you read Victoria and the Rogue? It's one of my favorite of hers! Loving your blog so far, dear! I'm your newest follower :)
